# White-Label Data Room (2026): Custom Domain, Logo and Branding – Who Offers What

**Short answer:** a **white-label data room** shows your brand instead of the vendor's: your logo and colours in the room, ideally on your own address such as *dataroom.yourfirm.com, and e-mails that look like they come from you. Vendors offer three different levels and call all of them "white label": (1) **logo and colours**, common even on mid-priced plans; (2) a **custom domain**, less common and usually on a higher plan; (3) **full white label / resale** – no vendor name anywhere, sometimes with the right to resell rooms to your own clients – almost always an enterprise contract. Below: what each level means, who offers what (with sources), and what to check before you pay for it.

## What to check before paying for white label

1. **Which address the guest sees.** Logo-only branding still shows the vendor's URL in the invitation and the browser bar. If the domain matters (bank, law firm, adviser brand), ask for a custom domain explicitly.
2. **Who sends the e-mails.** Invitations, verification codes and notifications often come from the vendor even when the room is branded. Ask whether the sender name and address can be yours.
3. **Per room or per account.** An adviser running deals for several clients may want a different brand per room – few plans allow it (Peony lists per-room domains on Deal Team).
4. **SSL and DNS.** A custom domain needs a DNS record on your side and a certificate; good vendors issue the certificate automatically.
5. **Resale rights.** If you want to sell data rooms to your own clients, you need a partner or reseller agreement, not just a branding feature.

## White-label rooms in HelpRange

## FAQ

### What is a white-label data room?

A virtual data room that shows your brand instead of the vendor's – at least your logo and colours, often your own domain, and in full white label no vendor name at all.

### Which data rooms let me use my own domain?

Among vendors that state it publicly: Peony (Data Room plan and up), Papermark (Business for documents, Data Rooms for rooms), Onehub (add-on on Advanced, included on the Data Room plan) and HelpRange (Unlimited plan). Enterprise VDRs usually agree branding in the quote.

### Is a custom domain more secure?

Not by itself – it changes the address, not the protection. It does help guests trust the invitation and makes phishing look-alikes easier to spot.

### Can I resell data rooms under my own brand?

Only with a reseller or partner agreement; some vendors (e.g. Imprima) market white-label rooms for this. Branding features alone do not give resale rights.

### Does HelpRange support a custom domain?

Yes, on the Unlimited plan ($174 per team a month, or $139 billed yearly), together with your logo and colours. E-mails to guests still come from HelpRange.
