Copy the link and send it – readers open it in any browser, switch between sheets and scroll the rows. 4. FAQ ## Share an Excel file online – free view-only link – questions Is it free? Yes. No account – you confirm your e-mail with a one-time code. Files up to 5 MB, 3 active links per e-mail. Can readers download the Excel file? No. The link shows the values of each sheet in the browser; the file itself is never sent, there is no download button and formulas are not shown. How long does the link work? 7 days. Then the link stops working and the file is deleted from our server. You can delete it earlier from the private link we e-mail you. Can I see who opened it? Not with the free link – it has no tracking. With a HelpRange account you see who opened it and which sheet they read, add a watermark and revoke access. Which files are supported?
